What is Global-Anthem
It’s a way for anyone, regardless of language, nationality, colour, or religion, to communicate. Global Anthem is a zero-technology solution to the planet’s biggest problem
Is it a language?
communication is essential for all aspects of life, from expressing basic needs to participating in social and economic activities. But for millions of refugees and displaced persons worldwide, the ability to communicate effectively can be a significant challenge. According to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), there are currently 89.3 million people under its mandate, including refugees, asylum seekers, and internally displaced persons. Many of these individuals have fled conflict, persecution, or natural disasters, and may have limited or no access to education or language training. As a result, they may struggle to communicate in the language of their host country, making it difficult for them to access services, participate in community life, or integrate into their new environment. The language barrier is also a significant issue for people who have been displaced within their own country. For example, in Ukraine, an estimated 15 million people have been displaced due to conflict in the eastern region. These individuals may face similar challenges in language and communication as refugees but may also struggle to access services and support within supporting countries due to a lack of local languages or dialects. Global Anthem is a unique and ground-breaking communication system, developed to bridge the gap between those affected by the population movement of the 21st century, due to war, famine and poverty and the International community that supports them. It was developed as an Alternative and Augmentative Communication system, utilising natural and intuitive hand gestures that can be used across any language or culture. It offers a humanitarian solution for people who have been displaced, frontline support workers, as well as those wishing to learn a new way to communicate without language barriers.
